When we all had those things called blogs, I would often use a break in the middle of the week to post what inspired me. It was an avenue to acknowledge the hump, and also, an opportunity to put my creative energy in one place in a different way. Overtime, I moved the series to Instagram. When I’m not sharing the collection on that platform, my saved folder is full. So are my text threads. In the spirit of showing up more intimately and regularly in this space (with letters still being very much the theme), here’s a mid-week note (not to be mistaken for Substack notes) for paying Subscribers.
Finding, collecting, and sharing what I’ve found and collected has always been my way of staying energized as an artist. It has been the way I’ve imagined a reality outside of the one in front of me, and simultaneously, allowed me to feel close enough to grasp the one ahead. This is key in my life and in my work. I sincerely hope it offers the same to you.
If you’re on the fence about becoming a paid Subscriber (I get it, I do!), here’s a recent note that came in with a paid subscription (thank you!).
